Thank you so much to those of you who called or enquired about how the show went. Also to those who gave me the confidence with your kind words and encouragement. It was FANTASTIC! It was really moving to watch people make an about face to come back and look, touch and oooh and awww over my work. I had so many people tell me how beautiful and unique my art was and how much they loved the paintings, the cupcakes or the clothes. I was told on many occasions that I was "an amazing artist". Those words rang through me each time someone said it.
I am Emily. A mom, a wife, a girl of 17 still in my mind, and to hear people confirm that title of "artist" was simply AWESOME! I made a lot of contacts, many people asked for my card and wanted custom work too. It was a fantastic day. The wind kept whipping up and in the end blew over some paintings and broke a vase I love.
It was worth all the stress and the work to get to that point though and I can't tell my husband and children thank you enough, for all the love and support they showed me. Yes- I know the laundry mountain is getting a little hard to climb and the bathrooms are getting scary to walk into. Mommy is done...for now :)... insert wicked witch cackling!
The items that didn't sell will be up in my Etsy shop in a few days. Give me a chance and I will get the links and the shop all up and working.
Look at that sweet little girl in my booth. Chloe was such a help & buddy through out the day. Love you sweet pea...muah ! xxx
This was exciting to see people pause and just look. To take in a painting. I took a few pics to feed my ego...hehehehe.
I will show better pictures of the paintings in the next few days and explain the inspiration behind each one. It's funny, The Sweetheart Tree is what people went gaga over. Totally unexpected. It is cute but I didn't expect so many people to LOVE it so much. I am even doing a custom one.
Again, thank you to all my friends and loved ones for your love and support. It was a great and memorable day and hopefully just the beginning for this "artist". Wheeeeee- Love that ;)
xoxo Emily

yes, you're an artist! I love that canvas; the flower is amazing. It's so cool that you got finished with your event right before Halloween so you could enjoy everything. Really nice table and canvases. Glad I found you through the blog party.
