NEST FEST

I am going ga-ga for nests right now. It must be the time of year. I can't get enough.

This little nest is part of a new piece I finished... but ruined. *sigh*

In one of my doubting artistic fits, I tried to tear some pieces of paper off the painting, after it had nearly dried and inadvertently ruined the whole piece.

I'm mad...real mad. I gotta stop this doubting stuff. ( I blame my parents ;) I should have left it as it was.

Anyway...moving on from the disaster I can't quite seem to fix. LOL

I bought myself a birthday present this year. I LOVE this necklace.

And the "tree" got some more spring bling, in the way of multicolored butterflies and a nest, thanks to my good friend TiNeill. Thanks girl. LOVED my presents!!

Below is an owls nest in our back yard. I just adore hearing the owl hooting at night. There is no sound quite like it. It is haunting and beautiful yet eery.

I am hoping that very soon, we will see some of these.

Spring has sprung and now my blog post is done.
Ha- I'm a poet and didn't know it!
:)

Nice work Emily. I'm really sorry about the painting. It's so beautiful. I just hope it can be fixed. I'm loving the nature in our garden too. Actually we have a sparrow (I think) nesting in our garage. I love it!!

I never thought I'd love bird nests, but after your painting and that necklace - oh, what's not to love?

I hate when I mess up paintings, so I can relate..

But it still looks super cute!

Nat- thanks girl :) and I bet you did a beautiful job. Please post about it. I want to see!!!!

Joanne- that is lovely about the sparrow. How sweet. We had one nest in our wreath in Utah and the momma laid her beautiful eggs and a naughty little neighbour came and threw them on our porch breaking them. It broke my heart. WE could watch them through our peep hole in our door. That was a downer story..lol...sorry.

Thanks Brit- I know...so cute huh? What is not to love?
Messing up a painting is the worst and then I get in a total funk and my creative mood gets all messed up for weeks...blahhh :)

What a beautiful art piece. I'm sorry it got ruined. At least you know you can do it again. Your new necklace is beautiful. Nests are a great sign of spring.

AWW...It looked so cute too...perhaps you could add something abstract to it? Like the way you added on the nest...

LOL...never expected it, but it's true.

I can't bring myself to share it...it's truly awful, LOL.

Let me know if you end up watching the movie...or reading the books ;-).

The painting is awesome. Maybe you could crop it or put it aside for a few days. That way, you could think about a solution.

How was your trip to Charleston? We had a great time but never found a carriage ghost tour. :(
