LOVE LETTER

Dear felted wool,

I HEART you big time!!

You are the most fun thing to play with.

You are the easiest thing in the world to work with.
I mean, not having to sew any cut edges is the BOMB!!

You are always forgiving.

Everything I make with you turns out so darn cute...like these cute brooches.

You are soft, scrumptious and so fun to cuddle with.

If I wasn't already married, I might just marry you.

Thanks for all the good times. I look forward to all the future ones.

Your #1 fan...

xo Emily xo

I wish I still lived in England where the wool was plentiful. *sigh*

Seriously people...this is the coolest material to work with. Plus, recycling old sweaters is just plain old fun and good for the environment. Throw them in your washer on the highest heat, add some soap and watch how tight and soft the fibers get.

If you are looking for an easy material to start crafting with, this is it.
If you are wanting to throw out your old sweaters and not bother felting it, I am always on the lookout for wool. I'll pay the postage!!

hahaha...well I am so glad! Thank you. I just wrapped hemp string around wire to make the legs. It was a fun & quick project too. :)

"Funnest" is one of my favorite "words." :) I just saw that another blogger uses felted skirts and things to make penny rugs! Love that idea, too. Your things are so excruciatingly cute.

I know *blush*, it is one thing my Dad still gets on me about. I'm 31. It's from my Cali days. I can't kick funnest, awesome, dude & rad. I don't think I ever will either. They are the "funnest" words to say ;)
Thank you for the compliments!!

Brilliant! I've heard of doing this before but it's so far in the back of my uncrafty mind that I've forgotten until reading this post. You just made my day (and all the sweaters I come across between now & forever)...

I love that I made your day. Let me know when you make something. It is so fun getting things out of the washer and seeing it change. Throw it in for another wash if you want it tighter. It's a lot of fun. Good luck!!!

I love them all. How you come up with these ideas, which may seem simple to you, I'll never know. If I ever get into sewing I must have a cupcake pin cushion! They are so cute.
